Introduction

RegExpFileRename.exe is a command line utility that can be used to quickly rename files in a folder (and/or sub folders) following a pattern you set-up.

You can add RegExpFileRename to your Windows Explorer right-click menu. You'll simply right-click on a folder, select Rename and all files in the folder are processed.

Background

My digital camera (Powershot G3) produces filenames for normal photographs following the pattern IMG_####.JPG. I would like my photographs just to start with a sequence number.
